Winter’s White

Till the summer comes again. Today, I signed up to receive seed catalogs and already, I have my eye on many little gems. I will watch my mailbox, waiting for them to arrive. It’s like planting a seed for summer to grow.

Today, we are covered with a quilt. The snow has kissed the trees, every limb is frozen and glistening beautifully in the sunlight. Winter’s White is pure and new. It’s time to rest as the trees and flowers will have hard work ahead of them.

For now, the appreciation for the season will be the warmth and comfort of cable knits and fleece, healthy food, and the darkness before spring’s light. See the beauty of the season.

Dream of spring with this beauty. It is great for art, cardmaking, and crafts. Right click on the image to save to your device. This image has been restored and background removed.

Wishing you and yours a beautiful start to the New Year.

Much love,

Lisa

    1. Thank you, Alan. The trees were quite beautiful today covered in ice and snow. Hoping for an early spring ☺ This art piece is a restoration, original work was done over 100 years ago. It just needed a little modern love to make it useable again. Hugs right back!

  1. I love this! Your pictures are gorgeous and make me a little jealous! Our mild Arkansas winters don’t bless us with much snow-just cold! Can’t wait to see what seeds you choose!

    1. Thank you! Mild winters sound very nice, too. I will be wishing for them in another month. I’m excited about the thought of planting flowers again. With the weather in Arkansas, your growing season must be amazing. β˜ΊπŸ’—

  2. Absolutely lovely…the words and pictures! I used to spend many winter hours in Michigan looking over the seed catalogs, making lists, and drawing designs for future gardens. A few of the catalogs even show up here at my apartment in Texas; alas, I have no garden at this time, but I still take a peek at the pages…

  3. The snow on the trunk of the trees brings out the texture of the bark. I like the contrast of colors with the snow. All this creates a magical atmosphere. Very pretty pictures, Lisa. The text and the artwork are also magnificent. Bravo!

    1. Thank you, Paula! It’s been a strange year. Usually we have a few feet by now. We had a melt off and only have a few inches left. I could certainly get used to the warmer winter. I hope you stay warmer than usual, too! Happy New Year!

    1. Thank you! 80 degrees sounds lovely! It warmed up to 40 today so we were all running around with no coats 😊 Hopefully it will cool down a bit for you but I would love to have your growing season πŸ’—
