The Blogger Recognition Award

Thank you to Roda from Growing Self, https://growingself.blog/, for the Blogger Recognition Award. I was lucky enough to discover her site through one of my followers. Roda’s talent and passion jumps off the page through her photography, gardening, farm life, recipes, and oh the critter connection, it’s amazing. I could go on and on about this site, but you must check it out for yourself. Such a beautiful person inside and out. This site sets my day on the right path.

I was lucky enough to receive this twice! I also want to give a thank you to Rob from Food Allergy Dad, https://foodallergydad.wordpress.com/. I was again lucky enough to discover his site through Roda from Growing Self. The networking and knowledge learning opportunities are priceless. Rob’s love and passion is ingrained in each of his posts. The recipes he comes up with and shares are amazing! Check out the Apple Cider Salted Caramels, YUM!! Keep in mind, he has to adjust for his kiddos, he is the food allergy dad. He also has FAQS, EOE, and tips for kids with food allergies. He posted information about the Teal Pumpkin Project. This is such an important drive, I have re posted his post. I believe this is so important to keep all of our kiddos safe. Check out his inspiring site. Such an amazing person who is passionate about his family’s health and safety.

Blogger Recognition Award

The Rules

Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.

  • Give a brief story of how your blog started.
  • Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
  • Select 10 other bloggers you want to give this award to.
  • Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide the link to the post you created.

The Story behind Pen Paper and Petals

I have always enjoyed making things from the time I was a little girl. My parents always fueled that fire because they are creative people, too. My husband also encourages my passion for creating. He doesn’t even mind when I flip on the light at night to show him my latest creation (or at least he doesn’t complain). I cheer on his building aspirations, it’s glorious!

Gardening, writing, and art have always been a staple in my life. I could not think of a better way to incorporate that all into one place. The love of paper goods has me over the top with joy. Botanical and vintage prints, tags, ephemera, journaling cards, and medical art are my favorite items. My site PenPaperandPetalsStudio.com is where all my creations land. Here is a link to the About Me on my blog.

My Advice

Be Yourself! Your love and passion will reach more people especially if you are doing what you love.

Network! Follow other bloggers and comment on their amazing posts. You can learn so much from people who are blogging daily. I have to take my own advice here. I need to post more often. I need to learn the balance between losing myself in art and writing and posting on my blog. And add the day job in there, too.

My Nominees

I understand that not everyone chooses to be a part of the award nomination process. By nominating the following blogs, I am able to say thank you for inspiring me to keep doing what I am doing and learning from you. All of you are amazing artists, writers, and photographers. Thank you for sharing yourself with all of us! If you choose to take part, that is fantastic! If not, no worries! Just keep doing what you are doing because you are truly talented…♥
